BOULDER — Reforming health care, reducing the federal budget deficit and withdrawing from the war in Iraq would produce national economic benefits, several 2nd Congressional District candidates suggested Tuesday.
“The sagging economy is on everyone’s mind,” said Kit Hollingshead, moderator of the Boulder Valley Rotary Club forum.
Hollingshead asked each of Tuesday’s forum participants — Democrats Jared Polis, Will Shafroth and Joan Fitz-Gerald and Unity Party standard-bearer Bill Hammons — what the next presidential administration and Congress should do “to turn things around.”
