EAGLE COUNTY — Jared Polis got his start in politics at 13 years old, when he worked in a telephone bank for Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis.
At 15, he worked on a U.S. Senate campaign.
“I kind of grew up with that experience,” Polis said.
Decades later, Polis, a Boulder Democrat, is running for a U.S. Congress seat in the Second Congressional District, of which most of Eagle County is a part.
